What is Past Tense ? Definition, with example.

                                                             What is Past Tense ?

* The past tense, the verb of the past is also divided into the main four form.

 1. Ayush studied.  (Ram Studied)

2. Ayush was studying.  (Ram Was Standing).

 3. Ayush  had studied .

4.  Ayush  had been studying since morning  (Ayush Had Been Standing Sense Morning),

*  I was reading from that meaning that the verb was running from a certain time.

·       *  DID

·       *  WAS/WERE

·       *  HAD

·       *  HAD BEEN

:- DID

क्या आपने मैदान में आने से पहले अपना बिस्तर बनाया था	did you make your bed before coming to play ground
क्या मेघा सुबह आपके पास आई थी	did megha come to you at morning

 :- WAS/WERE

क्या आप खाली समय में किताब नहीं पढ़ रहे थे?	were you not reading a book while free time
क्या तुम्हारी चाची तुम्हारे घर पर नाच रही थी	was your aunt dancing at your home

:- HAD

क्या तुम स्कूल नहीं गए थे?	had you not gone to the school
क्या आप पहले भी सुनील से मिले थे	Had you met sunil anywhere before

:- HAD BEEN

क्या आप पिछले 5 घंटे से पढ़ रहे थे	had you been studying for the last 5 hrs

Remember :-

 We now make negative and  interrogative sentences from the affirmative sentences of Past Tense.

The rules are that the assisted actions performed in Past Indefinite Tense are enhanced.

:- Affirmative :-you had write a book.

- negative :- you had note write a book.

- interrogative :- had you read a book
